Janeu and Gender: Debunking Myths About Women's Exclusion
Janeu -A sacred thread weared in Upnayan Sanskar, one of the 16 sanskar in Hinduism.
Women do not wear the sacred thread because they menstruate for a few days in a month. The sacred thread is tied in the shackles of purity and impurity and women are free from this bondage, therefore mothers are asked not to wear the sacred thread.
During impurity, the sacred thread or the sacred thread is put on the ear. The blood-coloured nerve of women (in the Muladhara Chakra) is weak, due to which if women, like men, put the sacred thread on the ear while defecating, then there will be a problem of extra bleeding.
For this reason, scriptures and saints gave the title of goddess to women and did not bind them in any bondage. They are goddesses themselves....!
Religion, principles and saints were never orthodox or exploitative of women. They always kept women superior to men. But due to ignorance and lack of knowledge of scriptures, the facilities given to them were termed as exploitation and an intention was hatched to turn women against religion and soft hearted women got trapped in it and started considering scriptures and saints as enemies.
Do not be misled by foolishness. Whether it is about not going to the temple during menstruation or not wearing the sacred thread. Women have been stopped everywhere because they are superior to men. Therefore women do not need this. This is not their insult or exploitation.
Woman is the mother of the universe, destroyer of all suffering of all &
bringer of all happiness.
